This modern, minimalist cottage was designed by Swedish architects tham & videgard. As you can see from the pictures, from the outside the cottage looks like an easy-to-build box, but there is a lot of hard work and hard thinking behind it.
First of all, Sweden’s most popular property site, Hemnet, has asked tham & videgard to create Sweden’s statistically most sought after home. The Swedish architects had analysed over 200 million clicks and 86,000 residences on Hemnet’s website to get the statistical data before they came up with this Cubical Cottage called the Hemnet Home. This colorful and vibrant hotel is situated in one of the highest buildings in Zurich West, that used to be a industrial and grey concrete area. Designed by Alfredo Häberli Design Development and Aeberli Vega Zanghi Architekten, the hotel really sparks with it “overload” of colors and shapes. Read more
This modern contemporary house was designed by Eero Saarinen and completed in 1957 for industrialist and philanthropist J. Irwin Miller and his family in Columbus, Indiana. Amazingly, the glass and steel, 6,838-square-foot pavilion, with interiors by Alexander Girard and landscaping by Daniel Kiley, has remained intact all these years. Read more
