The small Victorian cottage has been renovated by the owners, an interior designer Tracey Overbeck Stead and her husband, Ethan. Located in the historic neighborhood of Martha’s Vineyard, the old 900-square-foot house now looks so beautiful, cozzy and modern, with its nautical soft theme.
The owners managed to retain all of the raw and original charm of the coutage which was built in 1869. They just remodeled its 100-square-foot kitchen and installed new bath, and did few repairs. To spice up the spaces, Tracey and her husband displayed their great collection of coastal artifacts and antique nautical accessories such as ship’s wheel chandelier, antique harpoons, flensing tools, scrimshaw pieces made of whale bones and teeth, and so on. They’re also added some modern furnitures that can help create an ambiance of sophistication.
Nautical house decor is great choice for those who love blue color, just as you can see from this nautical cottage.
